Inspired by the views from one of the most desirable and secluded playas in Cabo San Lucas, chef Enrique Olvera conceived Manta with an intriguing double meaning: The manta ray symbolizes the kitchen’s focus on seafood, while manta, the Spanish word for blanket, conveys the chef’s emphasis on comfort.

Chef Olvera celebrates Pacific coastal traditions, taking inspiration from his native Mexico, as well as Peru, Japan, and beyond, while maintaining a distinct and tastefully casual Baja sensibility with a commitment to sourcing local ingredients from Baja Califonia Sur.

A curated beverage menu focused on mezcals, tequilas, and sakes complement Manta’s fresh local ingredients.

The Office really needs no introduction.  It's the #1 place to go for a once in a lifetime dining experience on the beach.  The food is excellent and so is the atmosphere.

In the day, the restaurant offers a great place to grab a bite and watch the fun on the beach and gaze at the extraordinary beauty of the Sea of Cortez.'s nighttime when The Office really becomes a magical dining experience.  The music, the candles, the vibrant colors, the moonlight above reflecting on the ocean all just comes together for a moment you'll never forget.

The story behind the name of The Office

In the 1970’s, when our peninsula was a remote and isolated place and only a few visitors came to the region, the first palapa on the beach was built on Médano Beach where The Office now stands.  This palapa with its small kitchen and unpretentious bar, tended to the needs of locals and the few tourists we then had, offering simple fare such as ceviche, fried fish, burritos and hamburgers, and, of course, margaritas, beers, water, and coffee.  A local character, a gringo viejo, who rented windsurf equipment on the beach, would frequently entertain his clients and friends at the palapa, which he referred to as “the office”. The name stuck, and shortly after a blue sign with yellow lettering popped up identifying the place officially as an office… The Office on the Beach.  The rest is history…
